Connecting Communities: M.E. Awareness Event

Sat 12 May, 3 – 6pm. Free. Book via Eventbrite

Join us for refreshments and a free film screening of Unrest, followed by a discussion about M.E.

Unrest, 2017 is a documentary film produced and directed by Jennifer Brea. The film tells the story of how Jennifer is struck down by a fever that leaves her bedridden and how she documents her personal story as she fights a disease that medicine forgot. The film captures the difficulty of diagnosis and care for both patient and caregiver, while exposing prevalent stigmas around M.E.

M.E. Awareness Week 11 – 17 May was established by patient advocates to raise awareness of M.E. (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis).

The Fruitmarket Gallery are working in collaboration with Edinburgh M.E. Self Help Group to deliver this event https://www.edmesh.org.uk
