Linda Goode Bryant in conversation

Tue 19 Mar, 6–7pm. Book via Eventbrite.
This event will be live streamed on periscope.

Activist, filmmaker and gallery pioneer Linda Goode Bryant will be in conversation with Fiona Bradley, Director of The Fruitmarket Gallery. Bryant founded the artists’ space Just Above Midtown (New York), which showed the work of African American artists including Senga Nengudi in the 1970s and 1980s.

The Fruitmarket Gallery are showing the first solo institutional exhibition of the work of Senga Nengudi outside the United States (16 March – 26 May 2019). This exhibition includes work from 1969 to the present, with recreations of work not seen since the 1970s and a major new installation.
