Fresh Fruit Pop Up: In the Bag!

Fresh Fruit Pop Up is an open creative space for 8–15 year olds tp drop in, make art and chat to peers. These workshops explore craft, printing and fashion, led by Fresh Fruit Intern and artist Brooke Milliken. Today, design and make your own tote bag to take away! Get creative and stamp, write and wear your own bag for life.

Sessions take place in a dedicated unit at Waverley Mall during The Fruitmarket Gallery’s building development. Find us on the lower level, in between Anime Republic and New Look.

Sun 8 Mar, 2–5pm. Free, drop in for 8–15 year olds at Waverley Mall, lower level.

Fresh Fruit Pop Up is an open creative space for 8–15 year olds tp drop in, make art and chat to peers. These workshops explore craft, printing and fashion, led by Fresh Fruit Intern and artist Brooke Milliken. Using found materials such as fabric, plastic and all things fantastic, we will weave our way in and out of different structures to create colourful, patterned artworks.

Sessions take place in a dedicated unit at Waverley Mall during The Fruitmarket Gallery’s building development. Find us on the lower level, in between Anime Republic and New Look.

Fresh Fruit Pop Up: Stick It Up!

Sun 1 Mar, 2–5pm. Free, drop in for 8–15 year olds at Waverley Mall, lower level.

Fresh Fruit Pop Up is an open creative space for 8–15 year olds tp drop in, make art and chat to peers. These workshops explore craft, printing and fashion, led by Fresh Fruit Intern and artist Brooke Milliken. This week we will work together to make a huge collaborative wall collage. Tear, paste and layer your images on top of one another to create an eye catching 2D artwork. There will be magazines, paint and collage materials aplenty to work from. Plus badge making!

Fresh Fruit Pop Up: Lighten Up!

Sun 23 Feb, 2–5pm. Free, drop in for 8–15 year olds at Waverley Mall, lower level.

Fresh Fruit Pop Up is an open creative space for 8–15 year olds tp drop in, make art and chat to peers. These workshops explore craft, printing and fashion, led by Fresh Fruit Intern and artist Brooke Milliken. This week you will use a special type of paper to make your own kind of photographs. Produced with light and a chemical process, cyanotypes are quick, easy to make beautiful prints to take away. We will use elements of nature, printing and pressing leaves and flowers into handmade booklets and badges.
