Over the last 45 years the Fruitmarket has gained a reputation as an organisation that values artists and audiences alike and trusts them to experiment, to take risks, to think creatively. Without the generosity of our funders we simply wouldn’t be where we are today, but that support also enables us to be bold and ambitious as we look to our future.
Work has now begun on our transformational OPEN OUT redevelopment project, which will reinvigorate our existing building and create a new inspirational space for creative, collaborative working in the building next door. We will be launching a public fundraising campaign for OPEN OUT in early 2020 to close the gap and reach our fundraising target. Keep an eye on our website and social media for more details coming soon, or sign up here to be the first to get all the latest Fruitmarket news and OPEN OUT campaign updates.
Whilst the gallery doors on Market Street will be closed for a short while, we will continue to deliver a programme of talks, events, markets and workshops at our pop-up BookMarket space in Waverley Mall and across the city. Growing support for the Fruitmarket and its programme is now more vital than ever, and by making a donation now your support will help us to keep our audiences and communities engaged through a city-wide programme of workshops, talks and events, thinking with them about how the Fruitmarket will OPEN OUT in 2020.
