VERAMUSEMENT 9-2-5  Exhibition Preview Wed 21 Feb, 5–7pm Thu 22 – Sun 25 Feb, 11am–6pm. Joe Coghill is a multi-disciplinary artist, musician and experimental publisher based in Edinburgh. His practice incorporates sound, video, performance, social sculpture, facilitation and media distribution. Over the last six years he has been researching, archiving and creating new work exploring the life, influence and oeuvre of iconoclastic No-Wave outsider artist John Margotti. Lee Lozano was a major figure in the New York art scene of the 1960s and early 1970s, making furiously inventive, irreverent and often tiny paintings and drawings; vast, abstracted paintings that sometimes used tools as their starting point; and conceptual works which took the form of instructions: ‘investment piece: be the recipient of a grant. Invest half the money on the stock exchange and hold purchase for a minimum time period of six months’. These works, called ‘language pieces’…
