Wellbeing Workshop:
Postcard Revolution
Come and take part in a free creative workshop – aimed at adults with experience of mental health issues from diverse communities across Edinburgh – to explore the theme of ‘revolution’ and ‘art as activism’.

Delivered in the Fruitmarket Studio, this workshop for adults will use art as a tool to support the mental health and wellbeing of participants, offering an opportunity to learn new creative skills, help build confidence and self-esteem, make new friends and share life experiences. The workshop will involve creating collage postcards which will explore the theme of revolution. A free lunch will be provided, please do let us know your dietary requirements in advance.
The Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival (SSMHAF) takes place 4–22 October 2023, with events happening across Scotland exploring the theme of ‘Revolution’.
Please allow three hours for this event. We will meet the participants in the Fruitmarket Bookshop at 1pm.
Access
The Fruitmarket is an accessible building with: a wheelchair accessible toilet, level access on the ground floor, lift access to the upper gallery and a car drop off point directly outside the gallery. We can provide the following: large print exhibition guide, one to one gallery information assistant guide and seating in the gallery. If you have any specific access requirements please let us know when you book. Guide dogs are welcome.
