Join embroidery artist Lucy Freeman for an introduction to embroidery at Endless Love Creative’s Market at Fruitmarket.

You’ll be learning contemporary embroidery, an easy to learn, quick and expressive way to embroider. It’s simpler than the traditional methods and produces beautiful painterly results.

Your ticket includes all the materials: fabric, threads, designs, an embroidery hoop and needle, as well as instructional sheets and access to video tutorials so you can continue to learn more after the workshop. Plus, you get to take everything home with you to continue sewing at home.

Lucy will start from the absolute basics of threading a needle and so all abilities are welcome. From complete beginners to experienced stitchers looking to try out a new style.

This workshop will be running as part of the Endless Love Creative Market, so there will be lots of artists and makers stalls to look around afterwards!

About Lucy:

Lucy Freeman is a textile artist based in Edinburgh. Her work merges the traditional craft of embroidery with vibrant contemporary design, bright colour palettes and lush botanical imagery. Lucy became a full-time artist in the Summer of 2018 and has since worked with the likes of John Lewis, Liberty London, Not On The High Street, Mollie Makes and art galleries including The Hepworth. With a focus on the beauty of nature, Lucy’s aim is to create unique artwork full of joy that is hand-crafted and ethically made.
