An exhibition of work by Polish tapestry artists that aimed to offer ‘a comprehensive survey of current tendencies in Polish fabric making’ (Gustaw Romanowski, exhibition guide, 1982). Many of the artists exhibiting challenged and experimented with traditional tapestry weaving techniques, using unusual materials and aesthetic approaches influenced by abstract painting.

Exhibition organised by the Polish Cultural Institute and the Łódź Bureau of Exhibitions. Presented by the Scottish Arts Council and The Richard Demarco Gallery.
