Fruitmarket seeks an Operations Assistant Intern, a Duty Manager and a chef
We are looking for a Duty Manager to join the team. Fruitmarket aims to welcome, inspire and empower audiences across Scotland, the UK and the world, breaking down barriers to ensure a diverse range of people see themselves reflected, represented and recognised in Fruitmarket’s programmes.
Duty Managers are based within the team of Information Assistants, and on their Duty Manager shifts they lead on operational aspects of the Fruitmarket’s day to day running, ensuring the safety of the art and that each visit to the Fruitmarket is the best it can be.
They have a supervisory role with Information Assistants whilst working Duty Manager shifts, supporting their performance and ensuring standards are maintained consistently. Duty Mangers take a leading role in the function of the Fruitmarket’s bookshop and assist with the running of events. They are key holders for the building, responsible for performing opening and closing procedures.

Fruitmarket seeks an Operations Assistant Intern
Fruitmarket is looking for an Operations Assistant to join the team. This one year paid internship is an opportunity to develop valuable transferable skills and a wealth of experience in the running of an arts organisation. This is an entry level position, we will not require extensive previous work experience. However, it is essential that the Operations Assistant candidate can demonstrate that they have initiative and can follow up and complete tasks.
The post will involve day to day administrative tasks such as answering the phone, accepting deliveries and purchasing supplies, sorting, processing and filing invoices, ensuring the waste and recycling are collected as well as supporting the team to deliver the creative programme, by booking travel for artists and partners, setting up meetings, taking notes and helping when needed during exhibition installations.

We are looking for a chef to work at Fruitmarket. We’re known for our fresh food offering and this is an exciting opportunity to join the small and dedicated team. A high percentage of our baking is done in-house, this is a great place to let your creativity shine. Some baking experience is desired, but not essential as training will be given.
